Can’t Afford Medication?

If the price of your prescription medication is often a financial burden and is difficult to pay for, the following program may be able to assist you.

MedicationIf you are disabled, medication is often a very essential part of your daily life. Unfortunately, many people are not able to afford the medications in which they need to function. Thanks to the Beyond the Band-Aid Program, offered through the Salvation Army Orrville Service Center, your medications can now be obtained a bit easier.

This program strives to help individuals without prescription insurance access free or low-cost prescription medication by coordinating with pharmaceutical companies.

To qualify for this assistance program, you must be a resident of one of the following Ohio counties: Dalton, Kidron, Marshallville, North Lawrence or Orrville. The assistance is arranged on a case-by-case basis, and is based on the client’s individual situation and needs. In order to receive assistance, the person’s income must also be at or below 150% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPL), and they must lack prescription insurance coverage. If you are interested in obtaining assistance, you must provide proof of income, Social Security card and you may be asked to release Rx documents and other medical records to the Program Coordinator during your in-person interview.
