Disabled and Looking for Healthcare Information? Social Security Administration Announces It Will Help
The Commissioner of Social Security, Michael J. Astrue, announced in March 2010 that the Social Security Administration is providing helpful health care information and website links to more than three million individuals who apply each year for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability benefits. Disability applicants will find information and tools to help them better understand and cope with their conditions at www.healthfinder.gov. If they need help paying for prescription drugs, they can visit www.healthfinder.gov/rxdrug and obtain information on reduced cost or free prescription drugs offered by drug companies, state and local governments, and local governments, and local organizations.
