Need Healthcare?
I found a great online resource guide for New Orleans residents who are looking for free and/or low cost health care. The online guide can be found by visiting www.nolafreehealthcare.com, a site developed by the Tulane Physicians for Social Responsibility. The NOLA Free Health Care online resource guide was created to provide an accurate, up-to-date health care guide for the community of New Orleans. The site provides information about medication assistance as well as the free or low-cost clinics throughout the New Orleans area. The site also offers a print version of the guide, a translation of the website in Spanish and Portuguese, more information about the website and links to other resources that are available in New Orleans. Although some of the clinics included in the guide do have associated fees for their services, all clinics will see patients regardless of their ability to pay. However, it is suggested to contact the clinic ahead of time to know if they do charge a fee for the services you need. Also, be sure to read the restrictions for each clinic and the services they offer, as some services are only available for certain individuals. For more information, visit www.nolafreehealthcare.com.
