Stamp Out Hunger

The Los Angeles County of Public Social Services has teamed up with local restaruants to help those with disabilities, the homeless and elderly (individuals over the age of 60) achieve a nutritional balance which is so important to everyone's lives. It's called the Food Stamp Restaurant Meals Program. The program allows eligible participants to use their Golden State EBT debit cards at select restaurants such as Subway, Domino's, and Kentucky Fried Chicken. Participating restaurants will have a sign on display which will tell you whether or not they accept food stamps. A picture of what the sign will look like can be found on the program's website. There isn't an application process to obtain the debit cards. Once the card is obtained, the individual will not have to show indentification to use the card at a restaurant. For more information about the Restaurant Meals Program, call a Food Stamp Eligibility Worker or the Central Help Line at 1-877-481-1044.
