One Stop, Toy Shop
Each year during the holiday season, Oasis of Hope opens a Toy Store for the families within the Memphis community. In addition to fostering hope in the community, the Toy Store provides quality name brand toys for children and offers under-resourced families the opportunity to purchase their own presents in a less expensive way. The Toy Store also provides employment training for neighborhood residents in need of employment. This year the Toy Store is located at 1294 Thomas St, within the Oasis Appliance Store. Oasis of Hope encourages life-on-life relationships that connect people across racial and socioeconomic boundaries. Their mission is to demonstrate love to the under-resourced communities in Memphis by elevating and improving the quality of neighborhood life through empowerment and partnerships.
