Christmas for the Homeless
Are you in need of a hot meal for Christmas? Bridge House will be hosting its annual Christmas Day Dinner for the homeless and anyone else in need of a hot meal. In addition to providing lunch, Bridge House will provide attendees with clothing, toiletries and toys for children. The Christmas Day Dinner will take place from 10am to 2pm Christmas Day at Bridge House, which is located at 1160 Camp Street. Bridge house has served as a substance-abuse treatment center in the New Orleans area for over 50 years. Their mission is to encourage positive change and recovery in the lives of individuals who have addictions by treating them with dignity, honor and respect. Bridge House offers professional counseling, a Twelve-Step Recovery program and provides a therapeutic environment for residents to live and learn discipline, ethics and marketable job skills. Bridge House accepts all individuals without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation or their ability to pay. The only requirement for admittance into the program is a genuine desire to change.
