Dental Lifeline

The following program may helpful to those who are waiting on their Social Security benefits to process and are in need of affordable dental care:

The National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (NFDH) is a charitable affiliate of the ADA whose purpose is to arrange dental services for the needy, disabled, elderly, or medically compromised individuals. NFDH, now Dental Lifeline Network, includes 15,000 volunteer dentists and 3,000 volunteer laboratories. This network is available across the country and offers the program, Donated Dental Services (DDS).

DDS goal is to restore patients to oral health which will enable them to maintain their health at an affordable cost. Participation in the program is simple and offers individuals that were not able to benefit from Medicaid and Medicare programs the opportunity to receive quality dental assistance. Patients will have a DDS Coordinator to answer questions in addition to being the liaison between the patients, dentists, and the labs.

DDS services are offered in all 50 states to the elderly, individuals with disabilities or individuals who are medically uninsured and have no other way of paying for dental care. For more information or to apply for the program in your state, please visit Dental Lifeline Network.
