Good Shepherd Community Center
The following organization may be helpful for individuals in the Jackson, MS area who are in need of assistance: Located in Warren County, the Good Shepherd Community Center (GSCC) provides assistance to poor and low-income families throughout the community. Through their holistic programs and services, GSCC provides families with the assistance they need to reach self-sufficiency. Services and programs offered through the Center include:
- Tutoring
- Family Assistance
- Community Center
- Daycare -The daycare program is available to children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years old. In order to receive services through the daycare program parents must contact GSCC to enroll their children. All daycare fees are charged on a sliding scale based upon the parent's income.
- Medical Clinic - Services offered through the Medical Clinic are for eligible uninsured or underinsured individuals. To determine your eligibility for medical clinic services, contact GSCC.
- Family Literacy - The emphasis of the literacy program is on older adults/parents who are seeking to obtain a GED. To receive assistance through the literacy program, individuals must register with GSCC.
Services provided through the Good Shepherd Community Center are open to all Warren County residents and offered on a walk-in basis. However, eligibility guidelines for certain programs vary.
