The following organization offers food assistance to those in the Dayton, OH area:
With the belief that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and that no one deserves to go hungry, House of Bread strives to prevent hunger by offering assistance through its community kitchen. For over 26 years, House of Bread has provided individuals in need with a fresh, hot and nutritious lunchtime meal on a daily basis. Meals are served during operating hours Monday through Saturday from 10Am until 1:30PM and Sundays from 11:30AM until 1:30PM. Each meal served by House of Bread generally consists of meat, vegetables, bread, fresh fruit, salads and a dessert. Everyone who enters House of Bread is treated as a special guest and no one is ever turned away.
In addition to providing hot meals, House of Bread also offers personal hygiene items, clothing items and referrals to various social services in the local area such as emergency shelters, financial assistance or childcare.
