No Time to Wait

As a parent, no one knows your child better than you. If you have questions about your child’s development, don’t worry! The following organization provides assistance to families throughout Michigan.

Although overjoyed with their new additions, many parents often find themselves wondering if their children are developing and growing like others. As Michigan’s early intervention service, Early On encourages parents with questions about their child’s development to not worry but to also not wait.

Through Early On, parents of infants and toddlers with a disability, developmental delay or medical condition are provided with a variety of support services to assist them as their children begin to learn and grow. To determine a child’s need for services, Early On conducts an evaluation of their development. If the child is found to be eligible for any of the services offered through Early On, an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) will be developed to guide the family through the early intervention process. Early intervention services generally consist of specialized health, educational and therapeutic services. The early intervention services offered through Early On includes, but is not limited to, the following services:

  • Assessment Services
  • Audiology
  • Diagnostic Medical Services
  • Early Identification
  • Home Visits
  • Family Skills Training
  • Transportation
  • Nutritional Counseling
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Health Services
  • Social Work Services
  • Speech
  • Occupational Therapy

If you have questions about your child’s development, don’t wait! For more information or determine your child’s eligibility for services, call 1-800-EarlyOn (327-5966).
