Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) – Any energy related repairs to assist in reducing the heat or air conditioning waste for residents are performed through WAP. Services and repairs that are provided include:
· Repair/Replacement of damaged windows
· Repair/Replacement of damaged exterior doors
· Installation of attic/floor/wall insulation
· Furnace repair or replacement
· Installation of bath exhausts fans
· Installation of weather-stripping
· Carbon Monoxide Testing
· Caulking
Care & Conserve Program (C&C) –In partnership with the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, C&C promotes water conservation by performing water audits, conservation counseling and plumbing repair. These repairs are essential to preventing health and safety problems due to mold, mildew, plumbing backups and other concerns. Services include:
· Repair/Replacement of leaking faucets
· Repair/Replacement of run-on toilets
· Installation of faucet aerators, low-flow showerheads and ultra low-flow toilets
· Payment assistance
· Line repair or replacement
· Drain and sewer repair or replacement
Who Qualifies?
To be eligible for the services provided through SEA, applicants must meet the income requirements set forth by the federal guidelines. Applicants, whose income exceeds 200% of the Poverty Index, are not eligible to receive assistance. The only exceptions to this requirement are households with a member who receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
