The organization assists individuals in need of food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education and many other areas. The goal of this organization is to be able to provide individuals with access and information about many different options and opportunities within the Atlanta area.

City of Refuge houses a youth center, a children’s ministry center, two basketball courts, a fitness center, Compassion Atlanta food distribution warehouse, emergency shelter for women, Resource Center, dining halls and Eden Village transitional housing for women and children. The facility is open to the community during designated hours each day of the week.

The Christmas Banquet will be held on Christmas Day, December 25th, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm and will include a full Christmas meal. In addition to providing a full meal, HUM’s Christmas Banquet will also provide heart-warming fellowship, spread holiday cheer and foster hope among those in need.

The services offered through Helping Up Mission does not stop at the Christmas Banquet. In addition to providing the holiday dinner, HUM also offers a variety of comprehensive services that include:

For the past four years, the McKemie Place has strived to provide the homeless women of Mobile with a proper place to stay overnight. the McKemie 707084 homeless_Place is the only overnight shelter for single, homeless women in all of Mobile, Washington and Baldwin Counties. The organization has a 65-bed capacity, where they provide women in need with a breakfast, beverages, dinner and a safe place for them to sleep.

The McKemie Place is where women can find friendship, comfort and support as they seek to rebuild their lives with the help of this organization.
