Help from the Rooftop

Are you in need of rental assistance? The following organization provides rental assistance in the Nashville, TN area to those in need:

Recognizing the difficulty of residents in Davidson County to afford their housing payments, several local congregations joined together to form Rooftop to help those in need. In an effort to prevent homelessness and provide hope, Rooftop offers rental assistance to families and individuals in need of emergency financial help.

To receive help through Rooftop, individuals must contact one of the partner congregations. Each congregation has a delegated Rooftop representative who talks with potential clients about their needs and provides them with a form to complete and submit to Metro Social Services. Due to the large need of help within the community, Rooftop partners with Metro Social Services to screen all clients for eligibility. Once the form has been submitted to Metro Social Services and reviewed, potential clients will be contacted to schedule an interview. If clients are determined to be eligible for assistance, they will be scheduled for a second interview to determine the amount of assistance they may need. Once the amount of assistance has been determined, Rooftop will send a check, on the client's behalf, to their rental agency or mortgage company.

For more information about Rooftop's services or to apply for assistance, please contact one of their partner congregations or visit their website by clicking here.
